ABOUT
Honor is an architect and potter based in London.
She discovered pottery two years ago, having long been an admirer of the quiet beauty of ceramic objects and forms. Pottery offers a welcome counterpoint to the precision and rigour of her architectural work with John Pawson. What began as an exploration has evolved into an ongoing practice, shaped by a fascination with proportion, functionality and the character of clay.
Honor’s work sits somewhere between structure and happenstance. Architectural sensibilities inform the vessels she creates, while the material itself introduces an element of unpredictability.
Each object is made slowly and thoughtfully, with an appreciation for the small imperfections that give handmade objects their individuality and warmth.
Honor continues to refine and explore what clay can become. The resulting pieces are simple, tactile objects designed to be lived with, used and enjoyed.
